This is about as close as you can get without the trip. My visit was successful and I would go back.
If you find yourself in Union Square give it a try. The people are actually nice and don't rush your order like the the Philly guys.
I think they achieve a close connection with the bread trucked in from the same bakeries as the Philly guys. You can also acquire Tasty Cakes here as well which is nice extra in the experience.
Some additional added notes for those that do visit. This is a cash only establishment. What a great business, right? Just in case you are a little light and cannot afford the special at about 10.99 they conveniently have an ATM machine situated along side the right of the register. This is a stroke of genius in my opinion as it is one of those charge for use ATM's and they money on each use. Love that.
