King Dumplings Opens at 74 Hester St.
It’s been more than a year since the popular Cantonese roast meats and noodle shop, Yummy Kitchen (also called Cheung Wong Kitchen), closed down at the corner of Hester and Allen streets. Now there’s a new Chinese restaurant in this space.
In the past several days, King Dumplings opened for business at 74 Hester St. You can get a plate of boiled or fried dumplings here for $4. If you’re looking for a cheap snack, four chive and pork dumplings will set you back just $1.50. King Dumplings also has a selection of noodle soups, sesame pancake sandwiches and frozen dumplings (50 to the bag) ranging in price from $11-15.
The dumpling shop is open 7 days a week, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
