Lawmakers want to subsidize firms that hire recovering opioid addicts
The opioid crisis is producing so many drug addicts that a New York state legislator has proposed a law that would provide employers with a tax break for hiring people in recovery. Assemblyman Bill Jones (D-Plattsburgh) said businesses that may consider recovering substance abusers unemployable need an incentive to hire them and develop productive citizens….
