Biden’s CDC pick projects 500,000 COVID-19 deaths in US by mid-February

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, who is Biden’s pick to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said that there will be “dark weeks ahead” in the pandemic after the new administration takes office.
