Congestion pricing – The lie that keeps on giving

Having lived in the city for over 2 decades and having seen changes to our great city and its transportation systems thought-out this time, I find myself pissed-off that congestion pricing has not bettered the MTA subway service level?!

In the last 5-10 uses of the train, there was an observed delay or significant schedule disruption. This kind of systemic failure harms the city and the local economy.

I put forth the following assertion, with MTA crisis isn’t or wasn’t the debt that it amassed which became the catalyst for charging auto commuters crossing at 60th street, it is about gross mismanagement at the MTA and a failed system of government.

So let’s thread in Mamdani here. In his proposed efforts to make the city more affordable, perhaps making it run more efficiently should be his primary focus and thereby help poor suckers like me get to freaking appointments and work on time! In this way I can afford to live in the city.
