Fox News In NYC

https://www.thenorthstar.com/p/fox-news-is-finally-facing-the-consequences

Fox News headquarters is in the heart of New York City, on the Avenue of the Americas.

A few blocks over from Times Square, and a few more from Radio City Music Hall. On every corner sits a Halal Food Cart peddling lamb gyros, chicken over rice, falafel with salad, and overpriced water bottles. My high school was nearby, and every so often we’d venture up to the big gray building where Fox News filmed, sticking our middle fingers up as we passed.

It felt wrong, gross, blasphemous that a corporation as deeply racist, sexist, and xenophobic as Fox could be found in New York City. Our city. A place so beautifully open and diverse.

The irony is impossible to deny.

The news anchors and businessmen who spend their lives and amass their wealth by spreading hate about marginalized groups of people, then spend their lunch breaks buying food from them. They sleep in fancy apartment buildings built by these people, buy their morning coffee from delis owned by these people, love their lives in a city built by Black and Brown hands only to go to work and call them thugs and gangsters.

I hate Fox News for the same reasons many across the spectrum of political beliefs do. Their claims are radically one-sided and almost always completely unfounded.
