Kathy Hochul says NY will welcome Afghan refugees: ‘It’s time for us to help them’

Kathy Hochul, who will soon succeed disgraced Gov. Andrew Cuomo, said Wednesday that the “arms of the Statue of Liberty are open wide” for refugees fleeing after the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.
