Two police officers came to the rescue of a man who fell onto the tracks at the Delancey Street Station early Thursday.
It happened about 4 a.m. Police officers John Huang and Kevin Platz noticed a man wobbling and then falling on the Brooklyn-bound J train tacks. According to the Daily News, they saw what was happening from the uptown platform and raced downstairs and then up the Brooklyn-bound stairwell.
Huang and Platz got the 39-year-old man off the tracks just in time. A train came barreling through the station about 15 seconds later.
The man is ok. He just suffered a bump on his head.
