Cuomo signs-off, so what did he do?

  • He fought for New York to get higher in line for faster delivery of medical supplies. That was helpful.
  • He pressured Donald Trump to deliver the USS Comfort to Manhattan
  • He turned Javitz into a critical care hospital and ICU at scale
  • He pointed out and pointed to the problems in the supply chain
  • He exposed the Jered Kushner epic fail to deliver on medical supplies
  • He got us all whipped up in a frenzy about how we should behave
  • He talked extensively about his grand mother
  • We got to see an exchange with his brother
  • His golfer sunglasses tan became more prominent with each session

You know, when I entered into creating this post, I was really thinking this was an attack on the man whereby my experience in Manhattan has been one of loneliness, fear and isolation. In fact, Andrew Cuomo was working and did perform a number of significant miracles. Now, not all of them turned out to be necessary, but had them been, New York would have been covered.

Andrews fatal flaw was, like many politicians, is a lack of knowledge/education in the field of biology. He is a politician. It’s like being a real estate agent on steroids. You do deals and get things done interacting directly with people and building relationships. You really good at what you do but lack dimension. That’s OK, you got the safety thing done. Andrew, you can’t end this with you were not advised well. That doesn’t work. Like procuring materials and turning convention centers into hospitals, you need to seek human resources and knowledge with the same vigor as performing your more mechanical duties like logistics. Perhaps work harder on the human resource and decision making up-front. For this, you have to take the blame. It should look like, “I was listening to the wrong people and I am sorry but know everything I did I did for you”.
