Family Recalls Life of Avid Cyclist, as Questions Are Raised About His Death
A 36-year-old banker, who moved to New York for the woman he loved, was struck and killed by a charter bus while riding a Citi Bike.
Citi Bike provides an alternate transportation system for New York City and Brooklyn where members and renters may take bikes from any one of the 100 locations and return the bike to a near location when they are finished.
I have first hand experience with a faulty Citi Bike. An accident resulted from a failed rear hud used to gear the bike. The bike’s cranks broke free while in gear causeing my foot to slam to the gound and subsequently caused me to crash. I did not pursue legal action but I must tell you, the company had absolutely no support fo such occurrences. They were’nt even prepared with legal support on their side or even a triage group to hear customer/member concerns or stories. It was unreal.
