Information Session to be Held on the Child Victims Act
On Thursday, Rev. Marc Rivera of Primitive Christian Church is hosting an information session on New York’s new Child Victims Act. Child welfare advocates, clinicians and sexual abuse prevention experts will be there to discuss how survivors of child sexual abuse may seek justice. The event takes place at the church, 209 East Broadway from 2-3 p.m. See the flyers for RSVP info.
The passage of the law means that beginning Aug. 14, victims of sexual abuse have one year to file suit.
