Thousands of dollars worth of copper wire stolen from NYC subway stations

Burglars entered through manholes on the 34th Street and Canal Street subway stations and stole thousands of dollars worth of copper wire, authorities said Friday. An estimated 30,000 feet of copper wire was jacked along the 1, 2,3 subway lines on Oct. 23, causing $10,000 worth of losses, police sources said. Police said the suspects…
