13 Minor Injuries, 1 Serious After School Bus Crash: FDNY

A bus driver was seriously injured and 13 others sustained minor injuries after a school bus got into an accident in the Bronx, the FDNY said. 

The accident happened near Fulton Avenue and Claremont Parkway in Claremont shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, the department said. 

The bus driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition, the FDNY said. Thirteen others were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the department. 

It wasn’t immediately clear how the accident happened.
