Next Snow Storm Hits Wednesday Night: Here’s What to Expect

Storm Team 4 is tracking a weak system that will bring light snow to parts of the tri-state beginning as early as Wednesday afternoon.

Most of Wednesday should be snow-free in the city, but very light snow or flurries are possible during the afternoon and evening.

Steady snow will move in late evening through the overnight hours, making roads a bit slick for Thursday’s morning commute. Check for school closings and delays here.

At this point, Storm Team 4 projects 1 to 3 inches of accumulation just north of the city, with an inch or less expected for New York City, Long Island and most of northern New Jersey. The Jersey Shore should see a trace, if that.

Wednesday’s high temp isn’t expected to hit 30 degrees, but temps are expected to bounce back into the 40s on Thursday and stay that way through the weekend, Storm Team 4 says.
