NJ Cops Swarm USPS Facility Over Report of Armed Man in Car
Multiple law enforcement agencies descended on a USPS facility in New Jersey Tuesday morning after getting a report of an armed man asleep in his car, authorities say.
Kearny Police said the man was taken into custody and no one was hurt in the Harrison Avenue incident, which started shortly before noon and wrapped up within an hour.
A gun — either a BB gun or some type of pellet gun — was recovered from the man’s car, police said, adding there was no threat to the public.
Additional information is expected later Tuesday.
