The Hoxton has two new outdoor spots for sunny weather wining and dining
Just in time for summer, The Backyard and Summerly are now open at The Hoxton hotel in Williamsburg. In addition to Klein’s, which opened last year, The Hoxton now houses three spots that are ideal for outdoor drinks and dining.
Of the three, Summerly is our favorite. This spacious rooftop bar opened last week and it specializes in seafood, craft cocktails, and amazing views on the Manhattan skyline. When we visited, the staff was fantastic and accommodating. We enjoyed the Blackberry Bramble (bourbon, blackberry, lemon, thyme, splash soda) and Saint 75 (gin, st. germaine, champagne, lemon). They also have a tequila and passion fruit cocktail called Just One Drink & I’m Going Home that serves four to six people. Clearly we need to return with a larger party. Local craft beers, such as the LIC Coded Tiles IPA are also available. From the food menu, we enjoyed the Lobster Roll, the Fried Calamari with banana peppers, and the Clams N Linguini which is prepared with a simple, but tasty garlic and white wine sauce. You can check out Summerly’s full menu here.
The food and drink at The Hoxton’s various restaurants are all overseen by restaurateurs Zeb Stewart (Hotel Demano, Union Pool) and Jud Mongell (Five Leaves).
The Backyard – an outdoor bar on the Hotel’s second floor – offers a more low-key experience with bar snacks, cocktails and ping pong. The Backyard’s menu features wood-fired nachos, burgers and sandwiches, and more.
Summerly and The Backyard are now open seven days a week Monday – Thursday 4:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Friday from 2:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
